Red Raiders News · Fall 2018 Season Recap


Wauwatosa East had a variety of success this fall season.  Top performance went to boys cross country runner, senior Henry Wellenstein, who earned his third trip to the state meet and finished 12th overall. We had a few first timers to the state meet in girls golf, tennis and cross country.  Team sports had good overall seasons with improvements in girls tennis and volleyball but no one had long term success in the post season.  Below is a brief recap of the teams’ success this fall season.

Girls Cross Country

Team finished 7th in conference

Second place finishes at Arrowhead & Cudahy Invites

*Elsa Klein made third team All-Conference, qualified for state meet- finished 76th overall

Girls Volleyball

Finished 4th place in conference, 5-3, Overall 20-8

*Anna Rossner earns Second Team All-Conference

*Chloe Tome earns First Team All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention

Girls Golf

Team finished 6th place in conference

Rachel Kauflin (TW) took 3rd place at state, also took 1st place for Individual Sectionals and 2nd place for Individual Regionals

*Rachel Kauflin made First Team All-Conference and earned Girls Golf Athlete Of The Year

Girls Swim and Dive

Finished 6th place at conference meet

5th place in conference in 200 Yd Free Relay

Girls Tennis

Finished 6th place in conference, 3-1 in conference duels

*Ellie Murphy and Katie Swenson made All-Conference Honorable Mention, qualify for state meet 

Boys Soccer

Finished 5th place in conference, 3-4-1, Overall 7-11-2

*Jimmy Mroz made First Team All-Conference, Honorable mention All-State

*Ezra Eccles, Henry Andera and Connor Reilly made honorable mention

Boys Volleyball

Finish 5th place in conference

*Zach Stiller and Brian Parzych made All-Conference Honorable Mention

*David Markes made First Team All-Conference, High Honorable Mention All-State

Boys Cross Country

Team finished 4th place in conference

Henry Wellenstein finished 2nd in conference meet

Football

*Jordan Saypanya, Defensive Back, earns All-Conference Honorable Mention

*Dylan Brown and Andrew Steagall, Linebackers, earn All-Conference Honorable Mention
