Girls Junior Varsity Swim and Dive, Girls Varsity Swim and Dive · Swimming and Diving Season Information

Welcome to the Tosa East Swimming and Diving Team.  This year the season kicks off on Tuesday, August 11th.

Attached you will find the current team information, Team Suit order, Practice schedule, and Spiritwear forms.

Since the pool is being renovated, all practices and meets will be held at Tosa West and Whitman middle school.  Once school starts, shuttle transportation will be available to practice and back to East high school for those that need it.  Here is the season practice schedule.

There will be two team suit options this year.  We need to order before the season starts so they can be delivered before our first meet on August 22nd.  Be sure to order the correct size, as the cannot be returned.  Here is a link to the Team Suit Order form.
We have set up a Team Spirit wear store with Riedel Sports.  The deadline to order is Sunday August 16th, with delivery for our first dual meet against Tosa West.  The store can be found at the following link:  https://tegirlsswim2020.itemorder.com/sale
Coach Koepke is leading Waterless Workouts at Hart Park.  Last week there was a good turnout.  Workouts will start promptly at their designated time in the area to the EAST of Hart Park Football field (by the parking lot).  They’ll last roughly 30 to 45 minutes. You’ll need athletic shoes, and a water bottle.  A mat or towel to lay on is optional.  In order for the district to maintain some form of following with this virus, we’ve been asked that all athletes complete the following survey BEFORE each workout they attend. So the morning of our workouts, before you come, please complete this survey, as I will too.  It is mandatory that we all do to stay healthy together. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9v4klI78YULVsXmtSq-6NSGHkvs1wYR0iVmhmKFIcvAw2lA/viewform?vc=0&c=0&w=1
The remaining dates are:
– Tuesday, July 21 at 11am
– Wednesday, July 29 at 10am
– Week of August 3rd is TBD
You may have noticed I have not mentioned any COVID-19 practice procedures.  This was intentional as the WIAA has not yet released their guidelines for fall sports.  The summer guidelines are available HERE.  Swimming and Diving starts on page 29.
The administration, athletic director, and coaches have been monitoring practice procedures in our state and across the country to ensure the safety of the athletes, coaches, and spectators involved.  We will inform you of any modifications prior to them being implemented.  I am intentionally not mentioning them at this time as things can change quickly and I want to avoid any confusion regarding this topic.
As always, if you have any questions, please contact me.
