The Red Raiders scored 113 points to finish 4th out of 9 teams at the 2018 Greater Metro Conference Championship Meet. Germantown easily won with 47 points.

We were expected to be 5th in this meet based on state rankings and the previous week’s competition however the boys stepped up and were able to beat highly ranked Brookfield East.

Henry Wellenstein led the team with a 2nd place finish and a very significant PR time of 15:59 for the 5000 meter course at Rotary Park. This is Henry’s first time running in the 15’s and places him 9th on the Tosa East All-Time 5k list.

Max Finco ran 16:47 for 15th place, missing his PR by only 2 seconds. Arthur Wellenstein ran a gutsy first half of the race, but managed to hang on for 18th place and a new PR of 16:55. This is Arthur’s first time running in the 16’s and places him at the top of the Tosa East Freshman All-Time list (Previously held by Sam Potter 17:09 from 2012).

Nate Blischke ran a season best 17:19 for 28th place, Liam Nicol ran 18:03 for 50th, and Steven Koss ran a PR 18:14 for 55th place.
