The boys placed 4th out of 13 complete teams at he Cudahy Purgold Invitational at Sheridan Park with 123 points.
The heavy rains all week left the course very muddy and soft which combined with the strong winds out of the south made for tough racing conditions and slow times.
Arthur Wellenstein led the team for the 4th straight week in 17:12 for 6th place. Grant Heus placed 10th in 17:21. Steven Koss placed 27th in 18:34. Jake Boeder ran the only PR for the varsity with 18:56 for 39th place, and Matthew Peura, in his first varsity race scores for the team with a 19:04 for 43rd place.
Also running were Ryan Morita (19:09 / 48th), Conor Carroll (19:21 / 52nd), and JT Foti (19:44 / 61st)
The boys were pretty disappointed with the team finish, but we managed to win a tie breaker with South Milwaukee who also scored 123 points because our 6th runner finished ahead of their 6th runner. This week has been a season low for us, but the boys have been training hard and will bounce back even stronger in the coming weeks.
