While the Red Raiders totaled only 88.5 points to finish 4th out of 10 teams at the West Allis Hale Invitational with a partial squad, there was much to celebrate.
Grant Heus ran the 1500m steeple in a new school record time of 4:37.25 and won by over 25 seconds. The previous record of 4:44.64 was held by 2017 graduate Eli Werner who was in attendance.
Michael Pridgeon won the discus with a throw of 145 feet, 9 inches and placed 3rd in the shot put with a toss of 48 feet, 7.5 inches.
The 4x800m relay team of Ryan Vanderboom, Max Radcliffe, Nate Blischke, and Nile Bridges won in 9:11.35
Henry Wellenstein ran a PR 1:59.78 to win the 800m run while Grant Heus placed 6th in a PR 2:05.01. Chase Roberts Won the 200m dash in 23.29 seconds and Jacarri Oldham placed 2nd in 23.49 seconds. The 4x200m relay team of Alec Mahdasian, Jaxon Holley, Gabe Sampson, and Evan Herriges placed 4th in 1:37.31 and the 4x100m relay team of Caleb Anderson, AJ Nichols, Trevin Bentley, and Jacarri Oldham placed 4th in 45.58 seconds.
Elijah Brittingham placed 3rd in the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches. In the pole vault Jacob Wodushek set a new PR by clearing 11 feet, 6 inches to place 5th and Marzarrion Williams-Green set a PR by clearing 9 feet.
The evening ended with a fun coaches 4x100m relay. The Tosa East squad of Adam Schell, Joe Kerhin, Mackenzie Laska, and Curtis Beals placed 2nd to the Hale coaches.
The meet served as a final tune up for the Greater Metro Conference Outdoor Champsionship meet which will be held at Brookfield Central High School on Tuesday, May 14 beginning at 2:30 PM.
Nate Blischke placed 7th in the 400m dash in a PR 54.87 seconds.
